Stop asking, ‘Am I working or procrastinating?’ Instead, ask, ‘How relevant is what I’m doing to accomplishing my goal?’ and ‘How comfortable do I feel while I’m doing this?’ Getting clear about whether you’re currently motivated by relevance or comfort—and deciding which of those you want to prioritise—is so much more helpful than simply barking ‘Must stop procrastinating!’ at yourself.
